Hopefully, we all can appreciate Amazon’s hunger to takeover the market or retail, merchandise, delivery and coming soon groceries. They did acquire Whole Foods for a whopping $13.7 billion a couple years ago and now everyone is wondering how will their own stores compete and compare. Amazon is still forecasting to open a dozen stores around the U.S. to test the market. They are said to be built like warehouses similar to Costco and Sams’s Club.
There is a real large market share in the 800 billion dollar grocery space and I am pretty sure that Amazon can find a way to fit in. We just hope that as they knock the other existing brick and mortar stores the best that they can do is offer consumers better savings while not sacrificing quality of food.
